Teresa Bowden

Born in Santa Monica, California, Teresa began dancing at the age of five. She began training the Vagonava method under Debra Senchak until the age of fourteen.  She then trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts under scholarship with Susan Jaffe/American Ballet Theatre affiliate school.

She then trained under Miguel Campaneria from National Ballet of Cuba and won Youth American Grand Prix Bronze medals in Boston and Tampa. She was invited to the Youth American Grand Prix New York Finals. She placed 1st in her division at the World Ballet Competition in classical ballet. 

 

Teresa trained with several American Ballet Theatre New York summer programs, Pittsburgh Ballet summer intensive, and the School of American Ballet in New York.

She was a Trainee for Kansas City Ballet 2018-19 performing Devan Carney’s Nutcracker, Big Swans in a Swan Lake excerpt, and Ryan Nye’s New Moves ballet. In 2019 Teresa joined the City Ballet of San Diego as an Apprentice and performed in Jeff Gonzales’s Carmina Burina and Steven Wistrich’s Nutcracker, and understudied Balanchine’s Who Cares? Pas under Zipporva. Teresa joined United Ballet Theatre with Joeseph Gatti in 2021, became a Company Dancer and performed Paquita pas de Trios, soloist roles in The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Running System by Xenia Wiest, new works by James Boyd in Carousel, and Jimmy Cunningham’s Break the Limit. 

This is Teresa’s first season with Ballet Frontier.
